Harrison Ford gave the perfect shout-out to Han Solo and one of his most iconic lines at D23 2024’s Disney Legends event honoring Ford’s history in Star Wars and beyond. Han Solo is easily one of Star Wars’ best characters, and he has been from the very beginning of Star Wars’ movies and TV shows. Although he was introduced in A New Hope as a suave, devil-may-care scoundrel, he grew into a true Rebel fighter over the course of the original trilogy, and, of course, his romance with Princess Leia has become absolutely legendary in the franchise.
In fact, Han and Leia comprise one of Star Wars’ best couples, and it was this relationship that Ford honored during D23. Specifically, according to Screen Rant, who attended the Disney Legends event, Ford said, “I have the privilege of being a storyteller. The stories are for you. About you. About us” and added, “I love you too,” referencing the famous exchange between Leia and Han in The Empire Strikes Back, in which Leia said, “I love you” and Han answered, “I know.” Ford therefore finally finished the line, which was a perfect way to honor his Star Wars character.

Frank Oz & John Williams Were Also Honored As Disney Legends
Harrison Ford was far from the only Star Wars legend honored at this D23 event. Rather, both Frank Oz and John Williams were honored at the event as well. Frank Oz has been the voice of Yoda from the very beginning, and John Williams is the iconic composer who has been bringing Star Wars’ most beloved songs to life for decades. Like Ford, Williams and Oz were honored with their own on-stage presentations.
Oz’s presentation included a speech about Oz’s incredible history from Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter and a tribute video with messages of support from Robert De Niro, Steve Martin, and Star Wars heavy hitter Mark Hamill. Notably, Hamill and Martin are both also Disney Legends. Williams’ presentation featured none other than Harrison Ford himself, who was also accompanied by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
During their speeches, Kennedy referred to Williams as “the greatest film composer of all time,” and Ford described Williams’ scores as having “a timeless and essential quality.” Williams, like the other Disney Legends, had a tribute video. His featured Star Wars icons Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and George Lucas himself and even included some of the franchise’s newer faces, as Daisy Ridley had a message as well.
